Dorothy heads up Business Development at Walker Love, with overall responsibility for external business relationships, interfacing at all levels including business strategy, operations, training, compliance, internal and external audit. With over 30 years of experience in working with clients across all business sectors, including the legal profession, local and central government, banking, utilities, debt-buyers, commercial and consumer DCAs; Dorothy’s expertise lies firmly in managing client expectation, monitoring quality of service and nurturing client relationships, as well as successfully growing valuable links with other like-minded professionals.
Dorothy plays a key role in compliance and oversight within the organisation, driving good behaviours throughout the business, with responsibility for company-policy training, preparing training material, facilitating training events and delivering training both in-house and externally to clients.
Dorothy qualified as a Sheriff Officer in 1998 and has a respected reputation within the profession, having served on various Executive Councils of The Society of Messengers at Arms and Sheriff Officers since January 2000, including the post of Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President, Deputy President and serving as President for three years from 2008 – 2011. Dorothy is an active member of a number of industry bodies, including the Money Advice Liaison Group, The Institute of Rating and Revaluation, Institute of Credit Management and a member of the Credit Services Association.
